The Haitian Revolution In the French colony of Haiti, slaves and Haitians alike were revolting against the French rule. If successful, they would have the power to liberate Haiti from the racial oppressions. This event would help spark a light against slavery, showing the world that slavery will not last for much longer. (1 janv. 1791 – 1 sept. 1804)
