Description:

WW1 began after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. His murder catapulted into a war across Europe. The four main aspects causing the war were militarism, alliances, imperialism, nationalism. There were alliances between countries, for example, The Triple Alliance: Germany, Austria-Hungary, and their allies. The Triple Entente: Great Britain, France, and Russia. The war ended with the German surrendering then all nations agreed to negotiate peace. Germany and the Allied Nations signed the Treaty of Versailles ending the war. About 40 million people died in total, it is considered one of the deadliest wars. "I aimed at the Archduke. I do not remember what I thought at that moment." Gavrilo Princip said after killing Franz Ferdinand.
