Residential Schools (Lily) (1 janv. 1830 – 1 janv. 1996)
Description:
Residential schools took Indigenous children from their homes and forced them to adjust to Canadian culture. The schools lasted from the 1830's to 1996 where children were forbidden from communicating in their native language. They would be both physically and sexually abused and about 3200 children died of illnesses. These schools were wrong and Canada has thankfully learned from this mistake.Ajouté au bande de temps:
