Description:

The civil war began in 1861, was a war between the North and the South over slavery, state rights, and westward expansion. After long battles, the Union ended up winning in Confederate surrender. Robert E.Lee was a general who led the Union during the Civil war. He led over ten battles, before surrendering to General Ulysses S.Grant in the Appomattox battle. Robert E.Lee died on October 12, 1870, because of a stroke. His last words were "Tell Hill he must come up!" "Strike the tent!" and were questionable since he had aphasias.
