Yip Sang (Mithuran) (8 juill. 1881 – 20 avr. 1885)
Description:
On 1881 to 1885 yip sang brought chinese workers to the Rockies (British columbia and Alberta Canada). Around 3000 people. When his business got really popular he was in charge of around 7000 chinese laborers. At a time when most Canadian workers refused to help build a railway. Yip sang and his workers helped break holes in mountains and structure the landscape so that a railway can be born on that rocky land. Yip Sang is an important asset to Canada’s history since he was one of the biggest providers of Chinese labour, which helped build the CPR (canadian pacific railway) which is a valuable asset to canadian history.
