Development of Greek Alphabet/Writing (1 janv. 30 av. J.-C. – 1 janv. 27 av. J.-C.)
Description:
It is the ancestor to nearly all modern European languages, and was derived from the North Semitic alphabet by the Phoenicians. It was modified to be a more efficient language, resulting in the addition of several letters and the loss of others. The Greek language was originally written from right to left, but following 500 BCE, it was changed to be written from left to right.
