Description:

Born in Sinope (on coast of modern day Turkey) Known as "Diogenes the Cynic" and he was one of the founders of Cynic Philosophy / Begged for a living and lived in a large ceramic jar in the marketplace / Carried around a lamp during the day claiming he was looking for an honest man / held a famous short conversation with Alexander the Great where he consistently showed that he did not care about the Emperor / when asked how he wanted to be buried, he replied that he wished to be thrown over the city walls and to let the wild animals eat him
