Born in Sinope (on coast of modern day Turkey) Known as "Diogenes the Cynic" and he was one of the founders of Cynic Philosophy / Begged for a living and lived in a large ceramic jar in the marketplace / Carried around a lamp during the day claiming he was looking for an honest man / held a famous short conversation with Alexander the Great where he consistently showed that he did not care about the Emperor / when asked how he wanted to be buried, he replied that he wished to be thrown over the city walls and to let the wild animals eat himAjouté au bande de temps:
