Description:

Archimedes was a very famous mathematician and inventor. He discovered the law of buoyancy, which has to do with floating and water levels. He also invented the Archimedes screw, which is used for raising water. He spent much of his life living in Syracuse. He helped the military build war machines which would delay the capture of the city when the Romans invaded. They still ended up losing the city and Archimedes died.
