Black Codes (1 janv. 1865 – 1 janv. 1867)
Description:
Black Codes was when people in the southern states found loopholes in laws. They changed the word “slave” to “negro” to have these loopholes.
This is important to reconstruction because it was a time when reconstruction was not going well in the southern states. They were able to use former slaves as slaves and discriminated against them.
