Description:

The Monroe Doctrine stated that North and South America could no longer be colonized by any external power specifically directed towards Europe and that the United States would no longer interfere in foreign affairs. The impact of the Monroe Doctrine was great on the nationalistic American public. Canning in Britain was upset by the doctrine because it prevented him from establishing any relationships with America. the Monroe Doctrine ultimately restored many of the European forces, particularly in the Western Hemisphere. Monarchies in France, Austria, and Prussia work to suppress elements of Italy and Spain. They also helped Spain to return to power in South America where many of the Republic had declared Independence and they wanted to restore hair dominance. They wanted to take out European powers from Alaska. The Monroe Doctrine has remained one of the bases of foreign policy.
