Description:
Although the women's movement failed to get the ERA ratified, it's success in passing Title IX and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission many more women sought and received relief against job discrimination. Also, the number of women's shelters and rape crisis centers have grown dramatically and the number of women attending colleges and graduate schools has also increased dramatically. Also, women have entered politics at every level from local to state to Congress and have even run for President. In 2020, Kamala Harris was elected as the first female vice president in U.S. history.
