Description:

Political machines where political parties in major cities that were under their control of organized groups politicians. The political machine structure had a boss, hey top politician who gave out orders. many political machines started as social clubs and eventually grew into centers of powers to coordinate the needs of immigrants, businesses, and the underprivileged. They worked to bring modern services to the city such as welfare for urban newcomers. However, political machines often stole millions from the taxpayers in the form of theft and fraud color about 65% of public building funds went straight to certain politicians in the 1860s.
