Description:
President Roosevelt increased the power of the interstate Commerce Commission to set maximum freight rates and pushed Congress to pass legislative reforms of the industry such as the Hepburn Act (1906) which standardized shipping rates. Once again, this increased Executive Power by actively intervening in business affairs and implementing reforms.
