Description:
The Elizabethan era is an epoch in the Tudor period, during the reign of Elizabeth the first. It is often known as the golden period, because art, poetry and literature flourished. It is most famous for theatre, because loads of plays, including those of William Shakespeare, that broke free from past styles used.
