Ku Klux Klan (POL, CUL) – The Ku Klux Klan was a group of nativists that grew very popular in the 1920s. Depending on their location, they would target different audiences. In the South they preached against African Americans an in the North they preached against communists and foreigners and Jews and Catholics. The Ku Klux Klan was able to market themselves nationally and efficiently. They would terrorize anyone who was “an American”. The group would dress in similar white hoods so that their identity would be concealed and they would violently harass their victims. The group gained major political power in the 1920s Ann would help candidates win elections
