The Presidency of Warren Harding: Scandals and Death: Teapot Dome (POL) – President Warren Harding was a Republican president after the war. His presidency was less than perfect in that it had a lot of corruption. Similar to Ulysses S grant, the president himself was not corrupted but his appointed board was. Two members of his cabinet had accepted bribes in return for turning a blind eye with some oil companies near Teapot Dome, Wyoming. This scandal was referred to as the teapot Dome scandal and Harding never had any connection to it. President Harding died due to unknown circumstances when he was traveling out West.
