Second Seminole War (1 janv. 1835 – 1 janv. 1842)

Description:

The U.S. government ultimately won this war, although it lasted much longer than Jackson anticipated. The Seminole were forced to leave Florida and settle west of the Mississippi River. This forced removal after a long battle with the U.S. military reinforce the federal government's practice of forcible removal on Indians from their lands and their willingness to use military force against Indians.
