Nationality: ItalianBest known for his enormously popular comic operas, he was also a virtuoso harpsichordist who composed more than 130 keyboard sonatas in one, two, and three movements. He
embraced the galant style, spinning graceful, aria-like melodies in short phrases over largely homophonic accompaniments.
