The Acadian Expulsion (1 janv. 1755 – 1 janv. 1763)
Description:
Thousands of Acadians were removed from their land and sent on ships to unknown destinations. Acadia: Maritime Provinces. The British wanted them to sign an oath of allegiance to fight the French if war came. They refused, and tensions grew. Finally, in 1755, the British ordered an expulsion, and they were transported on ships to different locations; the US, other parts of Canada, back to France, and more.
