Brown v. Board of Education (9 déc. 1952 – 17 mai 1954)

Description:

This Supreme Court Case was a landmark case for the civil rights movement. The NCAAP took on the case, and the result was the Plessy decision of "separate but equal" was overturned, and students were then allowed to go to unsegregated schools. The affect it had on America was getting the ball rolling on ending segregation within society. It was similar the passing of the Civil Rights Bill of 1964, as both were federal government actions that took steps towards ending segregation.
