Some of the first people to inhabit the northwest from other countries traveled over a land bridge thru Siberia to Alaska around 12,000 to 13,000 years ago. Archeoligists have discovered evidence that dates even further back to 30,000 years ago. Another way people made it to the northwest was to travel across the sea from Asia on boats .
