Description:
-The 3 reasons for the Indian act removal were: The factors contributing to the fate of the Cherokees were the discovery of gold on Cherokee land, the issue of states' rights, and the emergence of scientific racism
-Worcester v Georgia: Supreme Court Chief Justice John Marshall ruled that the Cherokee Nation was entitled to federal protection over those of the state laws of Georgia. Although the Supreme Court ruled in their favor, the state of Georgia confiscated the Cherokee lands.
