Cause:1. large corporations started to increase income by taking advantage of workers
2. formation of monopolies and trusts
Effect:
1. Congress passed the Antitrust Act which prohibited any form of trust
2. Sherman Antitrust Act wasn't enforced on manufacturing but through commerce
