B. H. Carroll (1843-1914) (1 janv. 1843 – 1 janv. 1914)
Description:
In his earlier years, he earned a number of degrees from three different schools and fought in the Civil War from 1862-65. Not long after, he began pastoring First Baptist Church (1870-99) and teaching at Baylor University (1872-1905). Carroll was successful in establishing Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1908 where he served as president until his death. Furthermore, Carroll was involved in a number of SBC committees and authored many books and doctrinal works. His life and ministry proved to be truly beneficial for the SBC.
