Description:
At about twenty years of age, Leland came to faith in Christ and swiftly discovered his giftedness in preaching God’s Word. Throughout his life, his preaching ministry reached a number of states (as well as foreign countries) and performed over one thousand baptisms as a result. Furthermore, he deeply concerned himself with civil rights and religious freedom for all men. In fact, he was directly involved with convincing Madison to write the First Amendment.
