The Great Depression went from August 1929 to March 1933, it was what is now known as “the worst economic downturn in the history of the industrialised world.” The great depression was caused by a crash of stock markets in 1929, banking panics, decreased international lending and the First War. The great depression affected people all across the world, especially in the US and Europe. For Germany it caused them to vote in Hitler, beginning Nazi Germany. The Great Depression also took part in causing Germany to commence the Second World War.
The great depression affected employment rates in Germany fulling their gerenral dislike for the "big three" even more.
