End of High Classical Movement
Most great sculptors at the time were working on the Parthenon and other surrounding buildings on the Acropolis.
Funeral sculptures begin to rise again
Stele - upright slave gravestone with relief sculpture.
Most works were for public places, but a resurgence of private sculpture begins again and mostly for headstones much like the kouros.
Shown in a domestic setting.
Seen with her attendant. Would have originally had a painted jewelry box.
Keeps with high classical style that we see on the Parthenon. Same type of characteristics.
