Quartering Act (24 mars 1765 – 24 mars 1767)
Description:
Cause: response to increased empire defense costs in America following the French and Indian War and Pontiac's War.Effect: required colonists to provide food and living quarters for British soldiers stationed in the colonies. This enraged the colonists by having foreign soldiers boarded in American cities.
