First Danish raids on England (1 janv. 980 – 28 déc. 990)
Description:
Between 980 and 991 raids on England are piece meal and individual. Between 980 and 983 raids take place on Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and Thanet. They are local and sporadic. There is no national response. Aethelred tries to cut of support for the raids in Normandy, where they often resupplied, traded and fitted out their ships.
