Description:
The Underground Railroad was and operation of free African American slaves, as well as whites who offered shelter and aided in journey to free slaves from the South. A well known conductor the of the Underground Railroad is Harriet Tubman who made nineteen trips through the Underground Railroad freeing around 70+ slaves.
