The "New Woman" (Flapper) (1 janv. 1920 – 1 janv. 1929)

Description:

The flapper is probably the most well known symbol of the “Roaring Twenties”. Due to the Women’s Rights Movement and the ratification of the 19th Amendment, women were allowed to be more sexually “free” than previous generations. Common image of the a flapper was a young woman with bobbed hair and short skirts who drank, smoked and said what might be seen as “unladylike” things.
