Description:

The Seneca Falls Woman’s Rights Convention was where a group of abolitionist activists made up of mostly women, and some men in Seneca Falls, New York. It a convention organized by reformers Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott where they discussed the problem of women’s rights. Because of the convention, the Declaration of Sentiments was created which states “that all men and women are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.
