Eighth Crusade The Eighth Crusade was lead by Louis IX again, who did not lose interest in crusading after being captured and bailed with a ransom. Louis IX died during the war, however, trade and a treaty were opened with Tunis after the war. (1 janv. 1270 – 1 janv. 1271)
