Fourth Crusade Pope Innocent III started the Fourth Crusade. The written intent was to reclaim the city of Jerusalem. A two-year war was established, and the Muslims managed to claim most of the crusader states in Levant. (1 janv. 1202 – 1 janv. 1204)
