Third Crusade Lead by three European leaders; the Third Crusade was started to retake Jerusalem after the fall of a Muslim leader, Saladin. The Crusaders were victorious, and this started the Treaty of Jaffa, a three-year truce. (11 mai 1189 – 2 sept. 1192)
