Description:

Tight Family Structure, Patriarchal. Very little mobility, aristocratic bureaucracy assemblies which decided government action within its city-states. Had a polytheistic religion but it was never a core part of the culture, instead philosophy and social/political commentary was the intellectual center of Greece. Agriculture was focused on trade, with olives and wine, instead of subsistence due to poor soil and because of their location on the Mediterranean, Greece was a center of trade. Persian War and later Peloponnesian War (Athens v Sparta) which was particularly weakening were the main conflicts of Greece, however the legacy lives on in their architecture, philosophical thought, sculpture, and arithmetic.
