Description:
During the During the Salem witch trials over 200 people were accused of practicing witchcraft which was seen as the work of the devil by the Puritans that lived in the Massachusetts Bay colony, where the trials took place. The trails first started in Salem, when two young girls began having fits and blamed these fits on “witches” starting a spiral of events which eventually ended in the death of 20 people and the incarceration of over 150 more. Eventually the Major put a stop to the trails which were basically condemning innocent people to death.
