Description:

The Battle of Fort Sumter refers to the April 12th and 13th, 1861, bombing by the Confederate State Army to dislodge the Federal Garrison at Fort Sumter at the entrance to Charleston Bay, South Carolina. This battle, which did not kill, triggers the Civil War (1861-1865) in the United States, the most deadly conflict in the history of the country.
