Description:
It was first intended to conquer Muslim-controlled Jerusalem by means of an invasion through Egypt. The Crusaders of Western Europe invaded and sacked the Christian (Eastern Orthodox) city of Constantinople, capital of the Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantine Empire).
