Description:
The Jewish traditional reckoning of dates (in, for example, the rabbinic work Seder Olam Rabbah) shortens this time period dramatically, compared to the scholarly consensus, such that there is a 165 year discrepancy between the Jewish and academic dating of events prior to this period.The approach of this timeline is to "realign" the chronologies by taking the academic dating of the destruction of the first temple, 587 BCE, as a fixed point.
