Description:

Was at first ruled by kings with powerful councils to give advice.

Introduction of firearms in 1700s led to autocratic and brutal regimes based on slavery.

Turned to the cycle of firearms and slave trade.

Armies were used to raid villages for slaves.

They eliminated the royal families and customs in areas they conquered.

Formed a unified state that lasted longer than their neighbors.

Because of their dependence of slavery, it ultimately had a negative impact on their society.
