Bickman studies on reduction of
ambiguity and an increase in responsibility (1 janv. 1975 – 1 janv. 1979)
Description:
Bickman staged shoplifting in both stores that had signs against shoplifting and stores that did not. Then, had a staged confederate either say something about reporting, not reporting, or say nothing about the shoplifting. Bickman found that the stores' signs did not help in a situation at all, but someone saying something does help because it increases the responsibilty of a bystander.
