Description:
- British government again agrees to negotiating a deal of purchasing all available Australian wool stock in 1939, until the end of the Second World War in 1945.
- The wool was purchased not only for military clothing, but also to cut off supply to opposing countries and as negotiating material.
- The purchase supplied a steady flow of export income for Australia through the war and continued to stimulate agricultural growth, trade and Australian relationships.
- Agricultural exports expanded by 151% since 1913.
