Description:
The most well known king of Mali and thought to have been the richest person of all time, Mansa Musa did a lot for Mali. He expanded more than any leader before, making his empire stretch about 2000 miles. He built schools, mosques, and a major university in Timbuktu with his wealth. He was also a Muslim, and made Islamic the official religion of Mali.
