Mali Empire (1200s-1600s C.E) (1 janv. 1200 – 1 janv. 1600)

Description:

Located near West Africa, they were mainly Islamic, though it only became the empire's main religion in the 1300s. Islam was spread there through trade, which they supported. They taxed trade routes, raised prices for goods, and had their own natural resources to sell. They also had a tradition of retelling legends and stories. They also created a lot of art and pottery.
