Homo Habilis (1 janv. 2000000 av. J.-C. – 1 janv. 1500000 av. J.-C.)

Description:

Homo Habilis
(Ho-mo----HA-buh-lis)

Homo habilis had the nickname "Handy Man
This was because Homo habilis was the first of our ancestors to build tools. they used stone to cut and carve.

Homo habilis traveled in groups this helped them survive. They could have worked together protected themselves from animal attacks and preditors.

Homo habilis brain size was double the size of Australopithecus Afarensis and they were an average of 4 feet.

Homo habilis was the first to eat meat at higher rates than the rest of their relatives and also meats with more fat. They did not hunt animals but would eat dead animals laying around.

Homo habilis also were more like modern humans than Australopithecus Afarensis they were taller which made it easier for them to walk, and they spread out more across Africa though they did not leave it.

Based on the fact that homo habilis skull size was around twice as big as Australopithecus afarensis this might be why they were able to create tools and decided to eat meat and other dead animals as well as plants. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/80/KNM_ER_1813_%28H._habilis%29.png
