Description:
A new counterpoint developed that promoted 3rds and 6ths while avoiding parallel 5ths and 8ths. A focus began to be given to making each part smooth and gratifying to sing. The motet was also redefined from a piece that added text to the upper discant part to almost any polyphonic composition on a latin text (usually sacred or ceremonial).Ajouté au bande de temps:
