Sandro Botticelli was one of the greatest painters of the Renaissance. Some of his best work is The Birth of Venus and Primavera. Botticelli went through three stages in his art career. The first was typical renaissance art at the time that didn;t stand out. His second phase was humanism and more detail, leaving naturalism and depth to the background.
