Description:
the continental army and the French worked together.General Nathanael Greene assumed command of the continental army in the southern colonies.
General Nathanael Greene took command and increase the continental army success in the south that caused the British General Charles Cornwallis to retreat and move to the east coast.. when he was marching his army to the north toward Yorktown.
G.W. marched to the north near Yorktown at the same time the French navy began to move toward the coast near Yorktown.
sep.28,1781, the British army was surrendered and sign for their surrender.
