Going from June 25-July 1, 1862 General E. Lee and McClellan strategically fought in the Seven Day Battle. This battle consisted of 6 different battles throughout the Virginia Peninsula east of Richmond. General E. Lee strategically pushed back McClellan and his 10,000 men and repeatedly attacked them. This cost the confederacy 5,600 men but they won. This win brought the reputation of Robert E. Lee up in war, bringing him as a general in many wars to come in the civil war.
